Lipsus is a disposable kit for lip moisturizing application.
The device provides controlled and continuous water flow rate of 12-15 cc/hour via a 300 cc bag.

  • If any inconvenience occurs, remove the device from the patient’s face.
  • If any of the components of the device has been damaged don’t use the device.
  • For optimal functioning, place the water bag at the advised height (min. 90 cm above the patient head).
  • The 300 cc bag (1) is intended for water only. Don’t fill with any other liquid or medicine.
  • Do not use water longer than 24 hrs after filling the water bag.
  • The device is intended for single use, never transfer the kit from one patient to another.

Warnings and Precautions

  • Unpack the device and take out the device components.
  • Fill the dedicated water bag (1) with distilled water through port (2), Use the funnel (3) provided with the set; illustration 1 .
  • Remove the spike cover, thrust the spike (4),located at the edge of the PVC tube (5), into the open port (2); illustration 2 .
  • Hang the water bag (1) on a standard infusion pole placed next to the patient’s bed (min. 90 cm above the patient’s head to ensure the required water flow rate).
  • Place the Lipsus on patient’s head and hang it behind patient’s ears (like glasses), center the lip moisturizing unit (6) in front of the lips outside the mouth.
  • Check the water flow through PVC tube (5) and ensure the patient’s lips are moist while placing the lips to device’s lip moisturizing unit (6).
  • In order to speed up water flow through PVC tube towards the lip moisturizing unit (6) during initial moisturizing phase, moderate hand pressure can be applied to the water bag (1) until all the air is released from the PVC tube (the tube is transparent and therefore the water front progress can be easily seen).
  • Discard the unit after usage.
