Lipsus® is manufactured by Shahak-Tec Ltd., a dynamic custom plastic injection moulding company, steadily growing in scope and size, focusing on quality production according to the stringent medical requirements for clean room production and assembly (ISO 13485). The Lipsus® device is its newest product on the market and Shahak-Tec is excited to share this extraordinary innovation with the world.
Shahak-Tec’s EC-REP (European Authorized Representative for Medical Device Companies) is MedNet EC-REP GmbH in Muenster, Germany.
The Lipsus® device was invented by Mr. Ehud Nagler. After undergoing successful pituitary surgery under full anesthesia a few years ago, while he was impressed with the smoothness of this advanced procedure he was distressed during the recovery process by the unbearable pain caused by dry lips. No one noticed his suffering in the recovery room, nor during the hours afterwards. This was the moment when the idea of the Lipsus® device was born.
The product was consequently developed by I.M.D. Tech Ltd., a private start-up company with an experienced team of mechanical engineers, and in close consultation with two professors in the field of anesthesia and internal medicine at a leading hospital in Israel.
Today Lipsus® is being introduced around the world, with the aim of making the Lipsus® solution an integral part of the post-surgery procedure at medical centers and hospitals globally. It is simply the next natural step towards excelling in patient-centered care.
